ABOUT THE GALLERY

Mark Kelvin Horton, Spring Skies
Horton Hayes Fine Art, located on the corner of State and Queen Street in historic downtown Charleston, features original landscape, still life, and figurative works painted by locally and nationally recognized artists. While many of these pieces depict Lowcountry scenes, compositions in the gallery include mountain and western landscapes, European subjects, and a variety of images inspired by the diverse experiences and travels of our artists.

Chris Groves, First Light
Gallery director Cynthia Hayes and co-owners Mark Kelvin Horton and his wife Nancy Cagan Horton have over thirty years of combined gallery experience. Any one of the owners or their sales assistants, Sean Ferneau, Anne Fishburne, and Arianna Karam, are present in the gallery to answer any questions you may have and assist with your selections. They are personally acquainted with the artists and well-versed in the range of their work. Whether you are an experienced collector or simply browsing through the gallery, our staff is a knowledgeable and valuable link between the artists and those who enjoy and collect their work.
